Humulus lupulus is a hardy, fast-growing, climbing perennial (climbing aid is needed), which reaches heights of 3-8 m and is excellent as visual protection, greening of facades, fences, railings or wall climbing.

There are male and female plants when growing from seeds, only the female plants form the aromatically fragrant, green, cone-like flowers in July-August that are used in Brewing.

The flowers of the male plants are rather small, inconspicuous green-yellow risps.

Can be started inside, then placed outside in the spring.
